I paint in a style called Grisaille, a painting executed in shades of grey, black and burnt umber. I use this technique to sketch my subject matter, especially figurative paintings, feeling grisaille gives the fleshtones greater depth: other layers are applied via a "glaze" that i concoct from linseed oil, Damar varnish and other secrete ingredients. I don't dictate meaning in my work, I rely on the viewer to interpret and align personal reflections with my art. Art is my passion, i cannot imagine a world without art and hope to brighten someone's day by providing a spark from my work.
