“Hello! My name is William and I am a student photographer based in Southern California.

I have been interested in the creative arts for the past decade since I held my first DSLR, the Canon Rebel T3i, but my experience and practice was inconsistent. I lacked the confidence to push my work for discovery, fearing that I was not “good enough” or I couldn’t produce artwork that would matter.

However, I made it my New Years Resolution this past year to pursue my hobby and turn it into something more… to strive for creative ambition. And to produce work that could inspire people.

I have come to realize that everyone starts somewhere, and I’m making it a mission to start my journey here. And to grow my talents as the year goes on. I hope that my work inspires you to continue following my growth as the year progresses.

"Manh" means "strong" in Vietnamese. This photo instills a sense of power and strength, as the walls at La Jolla Cove stand still amidst the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean. And the title of this piece relates back to my own heritage.
